The endless night sky of Hueco Mundo seemed exceptionally vibrant this day. Poco stood beneath it, wind blowing across her face, streams of white sand blowing over her bare feet. Her eyes were closed, mind focused on combing the infinite desert, she was searching for something, or someone.
Her posture was proof of her annoyance, arms and legs stiff, chest puffed out, face locked in a scowl. Something was obviously upsetting her and she would likely explode at any moment. Her shot open, darting to the left scanning the horizon. There he was taking his sweet ass time as usual. Tired of waiting for the lazy arrancar to reach her she sprinted forward, half running, half using sonido reaching him in a matter of seconds.
Without stopping or hesitating she launched a powerful knee strike aimed directly at the being chest. "What the hell took you so long!?", she shouted as she rocketed through the air seconds away from making a terrible impact. The man she was targeting was none other than the Primera Espada himself, her master and greatest rival. Letum.

Letum was annoyed. His fraccion had asked him to come out here and have a little spar. He still didn't get why she sparred him, she usually lost horribly. At least on days he just wanted to get out of there and scope out hot arrancar women or go to sleep. Which was most days. He obliged her though, simply because of the fact that he thought she was also attractive.
As he crested a hill, he spotted her, standing there, looking as annoyed as ever. She was cute when annoyed, and would be even cuter if it wasn't for that damnable hair-style she liked ever-so much. He had seen her without her hair up like that before, and had been thoroughly surprised. Who knew hairstyles could completely change the look of someone.
When she spotted him, her face one of anger and rage, he knew she was going to attack him before he even got there. Letum was right. Using her formidable speed, though speed he could follow, she came at him. He merely stepped to the side, and she went flying by him.
"Now now, ladybug, no need to get so angry." Letum's voice was slow and easy, and his face was that of boredom and laziness. He knew the name would get her riled up, since it did every time he called her it. Ladybug was a name he had coined for her when he first found out what her ressureccion was. A cricket. He however never acknowledged, and has yet to acknowledge that, instead preferring to call her a ladybug.
"I merely found some lady's that looked like they could use someone to talk to." At this a perverted smirk made it's way onto his face. "I couldn't just leave the three of them there like that. I remembered you though, so I made it quick." He turned to look at her, ready for the outburst that he was sure was going to come. She was so easy to rile up, and he always made it a game to see how angry he could get her.

Poco couldn't help but get enraged, hearing the primera's poor excuse for excuses only made the temperamental arrancar even more angry. "You Asshole! You would rather hang around some slutty bimbos than spend quality time with me? You're best friend on all of Hueco Mundo!" He always knew exactly what to say to piss her off, and even though she was aware that he was trying to make her mad, it still worked every time.
"And don't call me your lady bug, I'm not a f**king lady bug!", she said, her permanent scowl intensifying as she spun on her heel aiming a roundhouse straight for his head. She knew he would avoid it, he always did. The fact that he beat her every time without even breaking a sweat didn't deter her keep her from trying again. She liked these little matches they had, and always found a way to grow stronger after each one. Since meeting him, she had grown substantially more powerful that she could have ever gotten on her own, still all the power that she had never seemed to be enough to stand up against the Primera.
She smiled as she floated down to the earth, landing gently on the ball of her foot, kicking leg craned ready to strike. She used sonido again appearing before him, she leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek before saying gleefully, "Lets get this started then shall we darling?"

Letum let loose a small laugh. Much too east to anger. Every time they sparred he attempted to show her that anger would only get in the way of fighting, but the beatings he gave her never seemed to work. In fact, they only seemed to anger her more. He was eventually going to stop trying to knock some sense into her, but that moment was not now.
He ducked under the kick heading for his head, again feeling the wind from the kick. She was getting faster. Maybe soon he would actually have to try to dodge her attacks. That was a good sign. He, as the Primera Espada, was not allowed to have weak fracción. He actually had no idea what fracción were actually meant for, but Aizen insisted they have some. So, him being the lazy ass he is, decided to have some of these fracción just to do whatever work that didn't need killing.
He wasn't at all caught off guard when she appeared behind him with a sonido, kissing him on the cheek. It was a little tradition they had developed. Well, really she had, and he didn't really care, so it didn't matter.
"Of course." Came his lazy reply. He sonido'd away from her, setting down his scythe. He had never used his scythe in battle against her, not even during her half-baked plan to kill him. Besides, El Lobo de Muerte was only used on people he meant to kill. And no matter how annoying Poco was sometimes, he would never want to kill her.
"Now ladybug, are you ready?" Letum didn't wait for a reply. He turned, throwing a bala at her. He threw another right after, anticipating the place she would sonido to dodge the blast. He had continually tried to teach her not to rely on the sonido, but it was another lesson she had yet to learn. And one he usually made her pay for dearly.

The appearance of the bala was nothing new to her. She has faught him enough to expect little things like that, attacks used as a distraction to set her up for something harder. Usually she would have used sonido to avoid it at all, but there was something she just had to try. As the bala zoomed toward her she hoped up kicking it back at the Primera, not even bothering to deal with the second that probably was only aimed for the spot he expected her to move.
"See little pup, I do learn after all. All of your beatings have hardened my Heirro to the point where little things like bala are little more than an annoyance." Thanks to the force of her kick, the bala went flying back at even greater speed. She hoped that Letum would at least have some difficulty avoiding it, but past events told her that he wouldn't. It was true that she was faster than him (just a little), and even still he had no trouble keeping up with her movements. It just seemed he always knew what she was thinking, what her next move would be.
She would have to be unpredictable for this fight if she hoped to stand a chance, but how could she do that against someone who always knew what she was thinking, what she was going to do? How could she be unexpected against someone who expected the unexpected? Fighting Letum frustrated her, but it was also one of the only things that kept her going. She would figure something out, she had to.
Instead of going on the offensive, and attack while she still could, she decided to wait it out, let him make the next move, try and find some way to counter.

Letum smiled, merely raising his hand and batting the bala away like an insect. It screamed off in some random direction, quickly disappearing from sight amongst the dunes. It could be heard hitting one after a few seconds, but the sound was only a low hum over the forever-dark sky.
Letum looked at his hand, slightly burned from his own bala. It healed quickly though, since he, unlike some arrancar, had not fully given up his regenerative abilities. It wasn't nearly as strong as a hollows, since a hollow could grow a limb back in days, while it would take him a few months, if not more. But little things like this would never faze him, especially not in battle.
"Little pup?" That was a new one. His lips curled into a lazy grin. He could see that her playful side was finally coming out, a side he got to see very little. But he was glad when he saw it come out, since it meant she wasn't just a little angry spit-fire who would sooner kill you than do anything else.
"Lady-bug, I never knew that you would be one for pet-names." His grin stayed on his face, and his eyes were half-dropped, as if he was about to fall asleep. This was his battle face, one that often infuriated his opponent, since it made them think he wasn't taking them seriously, when he in fact was. Some would say this face, one of laziness and of a generally laid-back soul was the very face of death itself.
Letum lifted his finger, a cero gathering there with little effort. He knew she would dodge, since not even with her hierro she couldn't come out of the Primera's cero, fully-powered, unscathed. People argued that not many could.
"Cero." The ball of energy shot forward, bathing the surrounding sands of night in a crimson glow.

Now who was the one being predictable, At a straight up close combat fight she always had the upper hand, she had higher speed, higher endurance, and was more skilled at hand to hand combat than he, but one thing he could always do that she couldn't were those damn cero. It was much to strong for her to kick away, and she was well aware of it. She was also aware that if she were to use sonido he would likely have something waiting to punish her for it. Instead she decided to go the route of a martial artist, to really put her agility and flexibility to the test.
"You're one to talk Pup. You've been calling me lady bug for years now knowing damn well that I'm a cricket." she said as she preformed the splits ducking under the cero. She then planted her arms on the ground and swung her legs over her head spinning like a top moving toward Letum like a helicopter. As she closed the distances she began picking up speed, moving faster and faster her body twisting and turning creating a slight breeze, rippling the sand.
Just when it seemed she couldn't get any faster she reached her destination, her feet flying through the air, aiming to tear the primera's head off if he didn't avoid or block. Then as quickly as she could she brought her arms back down stopped the rotation and swung her legs back to the ground righting herself. With her great speed she leapt up aiming a knee just under his chin. From this distance it would be extremely difficult to avoid. She hoped she had him, and it looked like she did.

Letum did know she was a cricket, it was more of the fact that he didn't care. He liked the term ladybug more, simply because cricket sounded like some sort of insult. Letum didn't like calling attractive female's insulting names, even if they liked that name. It just wasn't his style.
He watched as she twirled towards him quickly, getting faster and faster. Another new thing he hadn't seen. She seemed to be getting more and more skilled as time went by, but he was sure that it would be some time before she caught up to him not only in skill, but in raw experience.
Once she reached him and attempted to take his head off, he leaned back, the leg missing by a couple of inches. She was able to quickly right herself though, and when she came at him with a knee, he was barely ready for it. He leaned back once more, but the knee connected with his nose slightly. Even with such a slight hit, a crack sounded out, showing the nose had broken. He made no facial expression signifying pain though.
Letum would make her pay for that hit. He charged a bala in his hand, gathering much more reiatsu into it then normal, making it quite unstable, and threw it into her torso at point blank range. The bala would explode with a lot of force, and would at the very least give him some distance, whether she dodged it or not. He couldn't help but smile though. He was actually going to have to start getting serious in these spars, even if only a little.

There wasn't even a point in attempting to dodge Letum's bala at such a distance, she would have to take it and deal with the consequences. She tightened her stomach as much as possible and took the ball of energy directly. It stung like hell but wasn't as damaging as she thought it would be. Her top was torn and the skin beneath was badly scorched and bruised. Nothing a little recuperation wouldn't fix though.
The force of the attack had blasted her back a fair distance, she hurdled through the air eyes locked on Letum as she attempted to right herself, twisting her body mid air. At a time like this, being able to use cero or even bala would have been a blessing. If only she could fire off a couple of rounds to keep Letum on his feet, unfortunately she had no talent for that sort of stuff.
She hit the ground with a thud, barely able to right herself seconds before impact. It was only then that she saw the damage (how little it was) that she was able to do to Letum. For a fraccion to be able to land a hit on the Primera was quite a feat, and she was proud of herself of course. Having one been Privaron espada put her at a cut above normal fraccion, which was probably the only reason Letum kept her around.
She used sonido to again close the distance between them, the burn on her stomach aching with every movement. These normal attacks weren't enough to deal with the primera, she would have to take this battle to the next level, "Paso, el Grillo Negro" she called out, the leg guards beneath her billowing pants glowing brightly before transforming her into her empowered form. A mere seconds later she was fully formed, her ressurccion was truly a blessing in these types of fight. Her speed was all but unmatched. Finally the real fun could begin. She flicked out her armored leg in the direction of letum, releasing a flash of purple reiatsu, slicing through the air at tremendous speeds.

Letum snapped his nose back into place, his face never losing the mask of laziness. No blood flowed from the broken nose though, indicating it was already healing. When he saw the damage he had managed to hit Poco with, he scowled. Any other person and it would of torn them wide open. He shrugged inwardly, the charm usually came later.
When Poco pulled out her ressurrecion, his frown deepened. He couldn't do his, mainly because he would most likely kill her. His lust for the death of his opponent, while not controlling, could sometimes get out of hand.
He ducked under the kick, which managed to take off a few of his hairs. She probably was one of the fastest arrancar in Hueco Mundo, but speed didn't mean everything in a fight. In fact, if your opponent could anticipate your moves like Letum could, it didn't mean anything.
"Now, now Ladybug. You know I can't release, unless you would want me to kill you. You don't want that right?" He released a bala, throwing it straight at Poco. While Poco may be fast, she had no ranged skills, so he didn't have to worry about bala or cero. Just Poco.
He raised his hand to his mouth, biting his index finger slightly. He pointed it to where he knew Poco would likely Sonido, and gathered a Gran Ray Cero. He wasn't really in the mood to play around with her today, so he would try to end it quickly.
"Gran Rey Cero!"

The bala was of little concern to her, Like before she simply kicked it aside attempting to send it back to it's master, however as she moved something more fearsome was looming on the horizon, in a brilliant flash the ungodly powerful Gran Rey Cero was flying toward her, in her arsenal she only had one ability that could contend with such a force. Unfortunately at that very moment, it wasn't usable. Instead she charged up her reiatsu in the balls of her feat, kicking violently at the ground while at the same time using sonido launching herself at great speeds straight into the sky.
To any onlookers i would have seemed as if she teleported, but even her quick actions weren't enough to save her entirely. The blast hit the ground where she once was exploding with violent force. The aftershock of the blast was strong enough to knock her out of the sky, slamming her into the ground just before the primera. She reached out her hand grabbing onto his ankle, it must have looked like she was groveling but even when she was at the doors of defeat she was considering her next move. She was again close to him, close enough to land a good blow. Using his ankle as an anchor she arched her back bringing her leg over her head charged with swirling purple reiatsu, like a scorpion extending it's tail, she lashed out, while at the same time throwing her body into the attack righting her self before again launching her knee into his chest.

Letum was glad she had actually managed to avoid his Gran Ray, since he had actually put more power into it than he had meant, which likely would of killed her. He watched as the effects of his cero became evident by her slamming into the ground directly in front of him.
She was quite worse for wear, but nothing that wouldn't heal quickly, which he was glad. He watched as she lay there for a second, almost as if she were defeated, but that thought was struck from his mind when she latched onto his ankle. The cricket had managed to find her second wind.
He leaned his head to the side, barely avoiding the scorpion kick. It wasn't a clean dodge though, and his cheek was torn wide open, blood flowing quickly from it. He frowned a little. That wound would take a little longer to heal, and he hated long waits. Especially when it concerned his face.
When she let go of his leg, he tried to jump back quickly, but again he was not quick enough and the blow landed. Letum flew across the sands before righting himself mid-air, sand flying up around him.
Letum knew he would have to end this battle now, lest he actually be forced to do something drastic. Poco never knew when to stop, which during fights like this ended up being a bad thing. Letum threw some of his unstable bala at her, knowing she would be forced to dodge in her weakened state. It was this he took advantage of.
He raised his hand once more. This would be the final cero he used, since he knew that she would not be able to take any more if it hit. Even if she managed to dodge it, any more would actually start to weaken him. And Letum while he was lazy, did not like to be weak.
"Cero."

Her knee blow connected, blasting Letum back a fair distance, unfortunately to keep attacking she would have to close that distance and quickly, she didn't have the ranged skills to keep up with Letum's barrage of cero and bala, and didn't have the energy to keep dodging forever.
Jut as she thought this a bala screamed past her just barely missing her head, before she could react a second one came slamming into her chest, knocking her back. She dug her heels into the ground and managed to remain on her feet. She charged reiatsu into her legs and started cricket stepping around the battle field doing what ever she could to avoid Letum's unstable blasts.
They couldn't keep up with her intense speed but all the dodging was definitely starting to take it's toll, and to top it all off, there was a cero heading straight for her, instead of trying to dodge it she decided to go straight through it. Lifting her knee using her cricket step to soar through the air her reiatsu charged knee crashing through the cero with explosive force. She stopped dead in front of the Primera, locked here defiant eyes with his lazy gaze and released her restraints. Purple reiatsu began swirling around her like a torrent of energy, the cascading waves of energy tainted the air with spiritual pressure, more immense than would have ever been imagined. She at that moment had the strength to topple mountains, the speed to run faster than the wind, One good kick and Letum would be begging her for mercy.
She charged at him, jumping into the air attempting a flying cricket kick straight for his chest. She stopped, fell to the ground, and was down for the count. She had done too much, in too short a time, her body could no longer handle the stress and she collapsed into a deep slumber, her purple reiatsu dissipating into the air above. Her vision grew hazy, slowly going black. She lifted her hand to he sky, it fell limp as she drifted off to sleep. She was utterly defeated yet again. Her outside was battered and bruised, but her insides where swelling with pride.

Letum watched as she jumped around the field, barely managing to keep her moving with his barrage. Poco always managed to surprise him with her speed, since each time they fought she seemingly managed to get a tad bit faster, which Letum always thought wasn't possible.
After he had release his cero, he was a little surprised when she chose to bash her way through it. That would definitely leave a mark. Once she landed in front of him, staring him straight in the eyes, he thought she would collapse right then. Apparently not.
She released the restraints of her reiatsu, and created a storm of purpleness around them. He knew from this distance he'd be hard-pressed to dodge anything she threw at him, and if she hit, while it wouldn't knock him out of the fight (he wasn't the Primera for nothing) it would be very painful.
He started focusing in his reiatsu into his legs for a sonido, but he knew he wouldn't be able to dodge the full blow. Before Poco could finish the hit though, she stopped. Apparently she was done. The reiatsu in his legs dissipated, since there would be no need for a sonido anymore.
Once Letum crossed the few feet of distance between him and Poco, she was already asleep. He couldn't help but smile. The little cricket was getting bigger, and soon Letum might actually have to be serious when squashing her. He could tell for now though that was a ways off.
Letum contemplated leaving Poco out here, but decided against it. Poco was strong, but in her current state she couldn't fend off the weakest hollows. He picked her up, and carrying her bridal style, he started making his way back to Las Noches to get her some medical attention. THREAD END
