”No—stop!!” Senroku shouted, leaping up too slice through the hollow’s thick skull. It vanished amongst the air, though two took it’s place.
“Is there no end too them!?” Another shinigami cried, fending off a large ape-looking hollow with a tantō. A gurgle followed and the man was dead, though only too be avenged shortly after by two other shinigami. Tenth Division was in a downright sticky situation, stuck on Earth fending off hollow's.
"We cannot let them reach the city square, the people are already scared outta their fucken' minds, and have been evacuated to the square. Hollows reach there, and we're screwed!!" Senroku shouted between slashes at a hollow, who seemed to avoid them all. Another shinigami flew down from a nearby rooftop and skewered the Hollow through where it's brain should be, causing it to dissappear.
The scene was clear now, at least for now.
"Regroup, hurry." Senroku panted, holding his zanpakutou against his hip.
A flock of shinobi appeared around him in a circle, each battered and bloody.
"I'd wish you all good luck, though luck is not a factor here. We are vastly outnumbered, and these motherfucker's seem endless." Senroku said, and in response was granted various murmurs amongst his men.
"Let's just fight too the best of our ability, and hope to god we can pull through." Quickly following he raised a hand, resulting in the cheerful cries of his men.
At that moment more hollows began appearing from the sky, and came down almost like a hail. Rain began to patter gently against the shinigami, as they awaited what could of been their demise. The street was empty besides a few dead human bodies, and random stacks of crates and barrels. Black clouds hung over them, taunting them, telling them that death was near.
Senroku was the first too charge the hollow swarm, meeting each with a quick slice across the chest or face. He used each hollow to kick off and get higher, only after slashing his way through of course. His men remained on the ground, slicing down any hollows that remained.
And so Senroku climbed the stairway of flying beasts, not looking down as he got higher, and higher. He was nearing the vortex they were coming from, and if he was able too muster up enough Reiatsu, maybe he would even be able too close it..
It would be fates decision what happened too him now.
Too be continued.

As his fellow shinigami began using shunpō to reach the swirling vortex in whence the hollow came, a burst of what could have been pure reiatsu shot outwards, expanding over the entire area. Every shinigami was hit by the blast, which caused each and every one of them too fall to the ground without warning.
Senroku was the last too land, smashing down upon the roof a small shop. Tiles flew up everywhere, cracking into nearby walls and the like. He was not defeated however, and was one of the first too his feet. The Captain looked around to make sure his men were alright, and after quick observation, he found out that were.
“What the hell was that-!!?” He heard one shout as he landed behind Senroku, staring up at what had been the swirling vortex. It was gone now, instead replaced with a large quantity of thick fog. Senroku tried to peer up through the fog, though the mere thickness of it prevented him from doing so.
“Kekekekekekekekekekekekeke—!!” Laughter echoed down upon the shinigami from above, from what appeared to be in the fog. It continued for nearly a minute, until a shadow began appearing from within the fog. Without warning, a cero shot down from the sky, smashing down the roof behind Senroku and inevitably killing the off-guard shinigami. “Reveal yourself!” Senroku cried in a tone of almost sadness, his blade pointed up towards the alien, his feet spread apart in a fighting stance.
Another silent moment passed, and then five more cero would shoot down from the fog, all streaming out into different directions. “Dodge, men!!” Senroku ordered as he rolled too avoid one aimed at him. The figure descended towards the ground at a steady rate, whilst cero continued too fly off in every direction, occasionally killing a shinigami. It landed a rooftop away, and Senroku knew exactly what the alien was: an Arrancar.
“Kekekekeke, did I crash the party?” The Arrancar said, stepping over the alleyway and onto Senroku’s rooftop. Immediately the remaining dozen shinigami jumped up in front of Senroku, blade’s drawn. “Don’t come any closer beast, we’ll kill you where you stand!!” One of the smaller men cried, though the Arrancar continued walking forward. “I’d like to see you..” He paused, and a beam of cero shot out from his palm, directly towards the bunched-up shinigami. “..Try!!” Most were burnt alive, however Senroku managed to get out of the way just before he too was killed.
He landed back down beside the pile of burnt bodies, a spear now in his hand.
The Arrancar began laughing again, and unsheathed a katana that hung from his back. “This fight will prove interesting.” It cackled, then lunged forward towards the captain, “Rot, Jinozoku!!” He cried, and his ressurecion had begun. A white carapace now covered his body, And spikes protruded from either wrist. His hollow form was not large, though it was at least two foot higher then Senroku. Shit.. I can’t use Bankai without bringing too much attention to the area.. Senroku thought, though they were cut off with a swift kick to the face that sent Senroku off the side of the rooftop. Before he even hit the ground he was met with another kick, and then a punch that sent him crashing into a wall.
The hollow began laughing through it’s mask, booming laughs that could be heard over the entire city. This.. isn’t.. his thoughts were cut off again by another huge right punch, that smashed him further into the wall and into the house on the other side. Shards of brick flew everywhere, several actually hitting Senroku’s legs and lower torso. He fell down on the wooden floor in writhing agony, blood dripping from his nose and lip.
As he began to get too his feet, a barrage of bone spikes shot towards him, which Senroku barely avoided. One managed to stab deep into his calf, creating a torrent of pain for the captain. He ripped it out with haste, and utilized a shunpō to get back outside. When he arrived the hollow was gone, or so he thought. Senroku managed to limp about the street, in search of his zanpakutou, which he had dropped after being slammed into the wall.
“Looking for something?” Senroku spun around, and now standing on the rooftop was the Arrancar, holding Senroku’s katana over his shoulder. Coughing out small quantities of blood with every word, Senroku spoke. “You give that back..” The captain utilized a shunpō to appear just beside the Arrancar, who was now back in his human form. His foot raised, Senroku shot down too kick the blade from his grip, though the green-haired Arrancar was far too quick, and merely jumped off the rooftop in a playful manner.
Senroku managed to plant both his feet on the edge of the rooftop, then looked down over the Arrancar, who had turned too look up at him. “Today, a shinigami captain is going too die by his own blade.”
Senroku hopped down from the rooftop, and slowly began walking towards the Arrancar. The Arrancar remained still, it’s own blade back in it’s sheathe. It raised it’s free hand, and began to smirk. “Cero.” A ball of red and black shot toward Senroku, who was too close too avoid it. The blast hit him in the chest, which sent him crashing through one wall and out the other side, three times over. He could see his life flashing before his eyes, which were now closed. He now laid in a pile of rubble, sprawled out like a dead body. The Arrancar walked quietly through the three hole’s created, whistling a tune too himself as he did so.
As he arrived on the scene, Senroku was gone. “How odd. This one seems tough.” The Arrancar spun around, looking for possible signs of Senroku’s body.
“Nice try.” The Arrancar jumped at the words, and looked up on the roof of a building. A man stood, his face covered in a hollow mask, his body in a black trench coat. His hair was black and spiky, and held in his right hand was a thin blade. It was Senroku. Lightning reiatsu crackled around his form, as he jumped down from the building. He was silent and steady in his approach, which made the Arrancar take several steps backwards.
“A hollow.. you… you..” The Arrancar’s voice was full of fear, and the look on his face proved so. Before anything else could be said black threads began shooting out from Hollow Senroku’s coat, each stabbing into the Arrancar’s various body parts. Two made residence on his left bicep, three on his right, two on his stomach and one on either leg. He tried too move, though it was nearly impossible. “Endgame for you.” The Hollow said, and jets of electricity shot out from the coat and over the threads, electrocuting the Arrancar. He was lifted off the ground by the attack, and his entire body was jerked back as lightning poured into him. “Gwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaah!!” He cried, and suddenly the threads broke, and the Arrancar fell to the ground below.
The hollow moved over the Arrancar, who was alive, but barely. He took a tight grip over his neck, and as if it was effortless, tossed him into the air. A flash step was utilized so Senroku was beside the Arrancar mid-flight, and then a knee was driven into the Arrancar’s hip, followed by a open palm shot to the chest, sending him spiraling back towards the ground. The Arrancar crashed through a roof, moaning as he got back too his feet.
The hollow landed suddenly in front of him, and began performing a flurry of kicks and punches, which, when done, sent the Arrancar flying back through the wall. The Hollow Senroku appeared again behind him during mid-flight, this time ending the fight for good. The blade he wielded was driven directly through the Arrancar’s lower spine, and then sliced upward in one motion, slicing the Arrancar in two. The creature vanished in a blue haze, and the Hollow hit the ground with a thud.
The mask cracked into several pieces, and released it’s hold on Senroku. He fell to the ground face-first, unconscious from his wounds. Senroku had just seen his first sign of Hollowfication, and it surely would not be the last.
