I think the point system should not exist. The character skill should be determined by the RPer, and not about the points. With the points, I think it lessens the fun worrying about who has better Kido or whatever. The better the RPer the better the character, so I really don't think the point system should really be a factor on this site, if we are trying to make it good.
Any opinions?

Point System doesn't really bother me, because in truth. Some people are better at things others aren't.

Say your character has higher everything then mines, and I beat you, you can't say the point system and argue. It was simple better in RP skill. [Example, don't take it personal] A character's skill should not be effected by points, even if it does remain points, I say characters should gain more points through IC means, no?

I agree. We should be able to gain more points, but make it tough to do. Make a limit on how high things can go, or a maximum on how much you can gain. Otherwise, we'd have a bunch of characters with all sixes across the board, and that could lead to problems with power balance.
For example, Uesugi Kojiro, my character, has a six in zanjutsu, but he took a hit other places for that. I don't think it would be right for him to take a hit to all that other stuff just to become a master at every single area later on.
I just think all sixes across the board might delude some people that their character is uber.

The point system is put in place for a reason, so that character's skills can be balanced out. Whilst what you say is true, the points are only a rough guideline if it came down to them in a battle ruling or such. If my character was fighting a character with lower speed and I attacked them head-on, but they claimed to dodge, just because their points are lower doesn't mean they can't dodge. In the end it comes down to RP skills and whatnot, points are just to show what aspects your character does and does not excel at. And remember- these are only on trial for a month starting yesterday, so a poll will be opened in March.

*nod* And if they are kept in place, I will construct a way for them too be earnt through IC means, perhaps through quests of some sort, missions, more like it.
Just remember RP skills comes first in fights, then statistics.

I like the idea of missions...
Why don't we start the mission thing now? xD

Perhaps, though I'd need to get a mission board up and then create them, etc etc. When I have more time, sure.

I had a thought; what if Captains of each Division, or Espada, or Vasto Lordes, or Etc, could create the missions? Maybe register them with sign-ups?

Maybe make a Mod rank for like "Event Mod" or "Game Mod" whose job is to create Missions, events, and plots and whatnot; for those who actually enjoy making missions and stuff.

If you need someone else, I can also take up the rank and be of some assistance.
