It was quiet. Far too quiet. It was that quiet, in fact, that Senroku could hear the snores of civilians, hear them mumbling in their sleep. It was nighttime, almost pitch black in Rukongai, where Senroku and two of his men had been sent to investigate a murder, which apparently had been of a hollow’s doing. They stood upon a roof-top in a triangle formation, looking down upon the torn bodies of half a dozen civilians. Senroku was the first too approach, landing softly beside the pile of deceased. He was not adorned in his bright purple kimono and haori, and instead donned a black kimono and his standard white Haori. His feet were left bare, and his hip sported his katana.
“What do you think boss?” One of his shinigami asked, stepping up beside him and observing the dead.
“Definitely hollow doing- no human can cause such damage to the organs, and,” He paused, and felt down upon a dead woman’s forehead. “They were alive after it happened, only for about five minutes.” It was not really his best feat, investigating, though he had done enough in his time too know the basics.
The other shinigami stepped forward then, his tantō drawn and his hands shaking. “S-sir, I hear them, Senroku-sama, they’re coming..” And he was right. Red eyes began to flicker in the alleyways on either side of them, the sound of teeth grinding together ringing the air. They were hungry, he could feel it. Senroku hastily withdrew his katana, issuing his men to do the same. He remained silent and still however, waiting for the opposer's to make their move.
This war was getting closer to home by the day.

Quiet always tended to lead to trouble. There was always a calm before the storm, and in Rukongai, quiet never, ever meant anything could. It didn't only mean a storm was coming, it was signaling a hurricane. A whirlwind of disastrous events that would quickly spiral out of control had well equipped Shinigami not been there to see things through the right way. Maybe that's what gave Kihashi that disgusting gut feeling that something bad was going to happen. Maybe that was it, indeed. He gathered up three of his unseated shinigami that were training at night under low visibility conditions, and made his way on foot to reach Rukongai. He watched carefully as he walked slow, keeping a steady pace and his eyes peeled. It had been a while since he bothered to patrol Rukongai for once; it was usually work for seated shinigami while Captains dealt with paperwork in their quarters.
There was an ominous feeling as he stepped onward enough to see the tenth division Captain cross his sights, hurrying somewhere. He waved to himself and his three unseated followed him, moving swiftly through the streets in full sprint. Eventually they arrived at the scene where a good half-dozen civillians had been slaughtered. He heard the tenth taicho announce due to the organ damage, nothing other than a hollow could have committed such an act with that amount of brutality. No sooner did red and yellow eyes begin to glow from all around his group. ''You three, back up the tenth taicho's subordinates. I've got his back.'' His three unseated rushed to provide backup for Senroku's subordinates, while Kihashi himself calmly walked up, turned his back to him, and drew his chokuto from his back which was his zanpakuto's sealed form.
''I had a feeling it was a bit too quiet for something not to be going on. No worries, we're here to make sure you don't have all the fun.''
With a smirk, the second Taicho awaited the oncoming ambush of hollows.

Sitting in the middle of the dark dojo was a figure in the indian style. His body was in perfect proportion, his back was straight up with perfect posture, and his legs were crossed over each other like a pretzel. The night was still and only the sound of the wind passing through the trees could be heard. The wind howled every fifteen seconds, and the crispy leaves on the trees rustled as they touched each other. Clouds slowly passed through the sky revealing the moon, and its ray of light penetrated through the windows of the dojo revealing the figure. First, spiky jet black hair with silver highlights became revealed, then the piercing blue eyes. It was the 8th Division Taichō, Dō Akimbotsu.
The sound of footsteps running towards the Taichō made him lose his focus from meditating. The pounding of urgent fist on the door made Dōrise from his quiet place. Twisting his head to the left and right he cracked his neck then slowly walked over to the door. Sliding it open there stood a Shinigami panting and holding a scroll in his hands. He grasp for air trying to get the words out of his mouth but was in such confusion. Reaching forward with his right hand Dō grabbed the man by his neck and planted him to the wall. Immediately the man came to his senses and spoke."Your assistance is needed sir!" Letting go of the man he unraveled the scroll and read its words. Dropping the scroll he walked into his dojo, picked up his tanto, turned around and made his way out of the door. Looking down at the man Dō bowed to him then disappeared.
Arriving at the scene Dō looked at all the dead bodied laid across the ground. It was a terrifying site but not anything to make the Taichō speak. Looking up to the roof tops there stood Senroku, Kojiro, and their young ones. Jumping up to the rooftop and landing it looked as if Dō glided through the air because he looked so graceful. Hearing loud screeches, Dō reached for his tanto and slowly turned his head toward the group of nine hollows. They all looked to be like gorillas. but standing as high as 8 feet. One hollow leaped at the squad and Dō threw himself toward the hollow. With his tanto extended he met with the enormous fist of the hollow in the sky. The two bodies began to fall quickly down as gravity commanded.
Upon landing the hollow jumped back onto a wall and pushed off coming at a greater speed at Dō. Rolling to the right the hollow sped on forward like an animal. Quickly up on his feet Dō charged at the ape from his right side. Jumping into the air Dō gave the beast a vertical slash across it's chest and the beast roared in pain. Landing he continued his pursuit by leaping on the beast back. The beast flailed from the left to the right in search of Dō. His grip was strong and he rode the beast like the savage bull it was presenting itself as. Bored of the childish ride, he swung himself over the beast and jabbed his tanto right in his forward. Sliding down he cut right through the beast;s mask like a piece of meat, and destroyed the beast. He looked up to see if the others were doing okay.

The start of the Hollow’s assault began, and Senroku was lucky that he had been joined by two captains. He greeted them with a nod, before his scared team-member was ripped limb from limb by a hollow, silenced shortly after with a swipe of Senroku’s katana. The hollow dropped dead, spraying the man’s blood across Senroku and several of the other Shinigami.
“You got to be joking.” He puffed as another hollow charged forth, though it’s cries of bloodlust were quickly ended with a blade through the neck. It fell in a toppled heap, landing on top of it’s fallen brethren. Senroku zig-zagged through another three of the beasts, slicing through their hips as he went by. It was not enough to kill them, though their deafening screams signified that the other shinigami took care of that.
Senroku did battle with approaching Hollow’s on the edge of the rooftop, occasionally looking over his shoulder to see how the others were faring. Despite their vast numbers, the hollow fell at the hands of the shinigami, moaning and groaning as they did so. Never before had Senroku had seen such a vast amount in Rukongai, and he could only imagine who could have been commanding them. In a hurry he flipped from the roof-top, landing on the ground floor below. His surviving team-member landed beside him, engaging a hollow in battle just after landing. “Go-- I’ll hold it off!” He cried, though the scream shortly following signified he could not.
Where.. are.. they.. coming.. from.. Senroku whispered between puffs.
Raising his blade into the air he chanted two words, and in result his zanpakutō flashed a bright blue, transforming then into a large crimson spear, tri-pronged. This was his shikai. A hollow charged violently down the alleyway behind him, however Senroku merely raised a finger and released a jet of lightning at it, the bolt ripping through it's chest. The hollow writhed in agony and fell forwards, though it's death could not block out the cries of his allies from all around him. He only hoped his ally captains were doing O.K.
A vortex appeared in the sky high above the scene of the battle, and from it stepped a man, his hair sleek and white, his neck downwards covered in a thick black cloak. He stepped out cackling too himself, and then fell gently towards the battle, landing softly on the roof of a building somewhat East of Senroku. He pulled his blade from it's scabbard, and tossed the cloak aside to reveal a long blue trenchcoat, intricate in detail. His face was covered in a grin, a grin that signified he was here for one thing: to kill.
A Privaron Espada had arrived. Priméros Lumos was on the scene. [/blockquote]

Hell had broken out all around the team of Captains as hollow flooded in from everywhere. This was no ambush, this was a massacre. Hollows poured in from every empty crevice around, and Kihashi had even heard the tenth enter his shikai state. He watched the eighth get to work with his tanto, slicing up hollows with expertise. He split a small distance from the group to cover his side, and he ordered his two unseated to work in a pair and watch each other's back. Just then, a bull-looking hollow charged out from the shadows. His eyes widened as the foolish unseated charged the beast, both turning into trophies on the hollow's horns. Their bodies quickly evaporated into nothing but clothing as their essence was absorbed, and the hollow grew a small bit in power. Enraged, Kihashi lifted his sword and suddenly vanished from sight. He appeared above the monster where a huge cleave had parted its mask and sent it screaming to hell.
A large, spidery limbed humanoid hollow had waited underneath him for him to fall into its arms. He fell from the air and went into a high speed spin, piercing straight through its arm and burying his sword up to the guard into the beast's mask. He leaped off of it and into a group of smaller hollow, stepping slowly to monitor their attacks. One leaped from behind and he rolled to the side, cutting down its back and splitting it in half. Two charged in from the side, so he lifted his sword and swung at the same time to kill the one on his left, then rotated and slammed the sword down on the one to his right. Seeing a vulnerable point, the one dead ahead rushed him this time. It thundered toward him with a body like a spider, firing a web of energy. He flash stepped out of the way quickly and delivered two fast cuts to the mask, splitting it in an X.
''For every one we cut down, two take its place!'' He barked, annoyed. He stared up to the sky as a figure descended. Just by the bone-like fragments on his skin and sensing of his power, it was true. The stories he'd heard about the terrible monsters more fearsome than thousands of hollows were true.
They were dealing with an Espada, now.

Well, Renjo as always was taking a nap. His feet were resting on his desk, while his head was facing down towards his chest. He was having a nice rest up until one of his unseated members came and knocked on his door. Mind you, it wasn't the slight knock that you can sleep through, it was like. Bang, Bang!! Renjo nearly fell out of his chair, before getting a hold of himself. Never disturb him while he's sleeping. " Come in. This better be important, you disturbed my slumber. " The unseated member looked shaken up, and the words came out, even though most of it was mumbled.
" What? Hollows are attacking? God Damn. This is just great. " He draped the Taicho Jacket over his shoulders not bothering to put his arms through the sleeves. He rushed through his HQ gathering around four unseated members with him. Once outside, he took a rather long jump onto the top of the roof. He would catch a couple of Captains fighting off Hollows in the distance. From there he used Shunpo to arrive. " Where the hell did these ugly looking things come from? " He said. Turning around he noticed one charging at him. Simply taking out his Katana from the sheathe he sliced down horizontally through the mask of the Hollow. Cutting him in two.
" Hah! Your ugly ass got cut in two. " He started chuckling. Boy this was going to be fun.

Yukiro was suppose to meet Renjo so they could go out to the human world, and meet some girls. But no...his plan would be messed up when he is disrupted getting ready. "Captain!! Hollows are attacking!" Yukiro eye brow rose. "Huh? Hollows? Why don't you take care of it?" He continued to go back to putting on his clothing. He was more focused on getting ready than anything else. "Captain! It is an emergency!" Yukiro began to get agitated. "Shut the fuck up! I am going!" The seat member nodded his head and left the room.
"Get me my zanpakto." Yukiro demanded. "Y-Y-Yes sir." Yukiro waited and still did not get it. The seat member stared at Yukiro. "The fuck? Now-!!" The seat member nodded his head and grabbed Yukiro's zanpakto. "Here you go captain." Yukiro nodded. "That is much better, now we out." The seat member mouth became agape. "Me sir? I-I-I'm just a messenger." Yukiro turned around and scolded him. "And..? Let's go. Where the hell is Renjo? No..I swear to god. HE BETTER NOT HAVE KILLED THOSE HOLLOWS WITHOUT ME!"
Yukiro left throughout the door, the messenger still in the room he was once in. "Bitch, I said lets go!" The messenger was frightened. "Y-Y-Yes sir." He followed Yukiro. Yukiro and the messenger left onto the battle field. Yukiro reached the battle field via Shunpo. He saw Renjo attacking a Hollow and quickly got jealous. "Renjo! Stop it, queer!" Yukiro used a flash step to get side by side near Renjo. "Why are you takin' all th-" A Hollow quickly emerged from behind Yukiro.
Yukiro quickly unsheathed his sealed zanpakto, and slashed at the head of the Hollow. The head slid off to the side and fell on the ground. The Hollow's head began to expel blood, and quickly disperse into nothing. "Anywho..why are you takin' all the kills?!" Yukiro growled at Renjo. Yukiro looked left and right. "Where is that damn, messenger?" The messenger slowly stood near Yukiro. "Here sir." Yukiro chuckled. "Good."

Feeling the Espada's power, Kihashi couldn't help but focus his sights upon him. He threw off his coat in such a challenging way...he was just asking for it. He stepped in a small circle as an Adjuchas stepped out of the shadows, a lion-like hollow. He pressed the flat of his zanpakuto against his shoulder and pointed the blade to the beast, slowly circling around it as it stared him down. It suddenly hunched downward and its spiky mane ruffled as bony spines shot into the air, raining down into Kihashi's vicinity. He stared upward, distracted, and deflected what of the spikes he could. One landed square into his shoulder and he growled, yanking it out as quick as he could. While he was busy with that, the Adjuchas leaped forward in a ferocious bite, clawing with rage as it did so. Kihashi lifted his blade and it was caught inside the hollow's teeth, and he used the momentum from his block to spring forward and rip the chokuto through the beast's entire body.
He used a flash step to vanish from his current position and appear on a rooftop, only being several away from the Espada. A swarm of vulture-like hollow swarmed down at him and he grabbed his weapon by the tassel, beginning to spin it faster and faster. Soon, his strength and momentum turned the chokuto into a buzz saw of doom. He whirled the sword into the oncoming flocks, sawing up what he could and taking small talon scratches from others. Nothing serious, but in time, repeating this strategy proved fruitful, as he had destroyed the rest of the swarm. Several small humanoid hollows, adjuchas, jumped to the roof to bar his advance. He began to grow angry, now. He swept low with the sword, flinging it back to his hand by the tassel. The one hollow that jumped was met with a kick to the chest that sent it soaring off the roof into the crowd of hungry monsters below.
''I have no time for you! Step out of my way!''
He sped from the rooftop like the second taicho could only muster as he cleaved the two adjuchas apart in annoyance, leaving the third one to regain it's senses on the ground. He flash stepped across roofs until he landed on the one directly next to the Espada. He raised the tip of his sword to point directly at the monster. ''My name is Hattori Kihashi, Captain of the Second Division of the Thirteen Court Guards. I hope you've had your fun, beast, because it's about to come to a tragic end.''

Senroku charged down the alleyway in search of the Hollow’s leader or source of arrival, slicing through several humanoid-like hollows as he went. His spear in hand, Senroku was determined to end this threat as soon as he could. Otherwise, Rukongai could be in serious danger.
Lumos looked at the Captain with a sense of bloodlust in his eyes. “Kojiro, you say?” He took a short pause, then stepped forward, a katana then sliding down his right sleeve and into his hand. “I am glad you gave me your name, now I will be able to tell my allies what captain I defeated during this ordeal.” Lumos chuckled to himself, then looked back at the captain. Whilst their clearly was a bloodlust in his eyes and tone, he had no intentions of doing battle with Kojiro on this night.
“Alas, Kojiro-san, I am not here for you. I am after a man known as Omegate Senroku, also a captain.” He twisted his head to the side and revealed a grin, licking his lips with his long, snake-like tongue. “Tell me, where can I find him?” Before he finished a static sound filled the air, and Lumos appeared behind the captain, facing the opposite direction. “Ah, never mind that. I can do this task alone. Farewell, Kojiro-san.” Another static sound could be heard and he was on another rooftop, already making his way towards where he expected Senroku too be located.
As Senroku ran down the alleyway, the sound of what he knew to be Sonido rung through his ears. He quickly scaled the wall of the building, then performed a quick flip to land right beside Kojiro. “Kojiro-sama, was that the Espada?” He asked in haste, his eyes filled with hatred.
He was going to rip that motherfucker to pieces.

Chatter chatter chatter, thats all Shuyan could hear. She had taken a trip to Rukongai to visit her old friends and they were all so eager to share their exciting stories from their exciting lives, excitement that on occasion shuyan found her self missing. However today wasn't one of those occasions, there was some eerie feeling in the air that distracted the woman, so much that everything her old gang was saying sounded like nothing but chatter.
The young woman rose from her relaxed seated position and stood quietly listening to the air, trying to detect just what it was that was so unsettling. "Hmmm something is not right, I can feel it.. Something is in the air.. Stirring things up. Shut up for a minute guys and stay low, I need to check this out."
She moved to leave the small building where the group had gathered only to be stopped by her closest friend Mizu. She gave her a concerned look and simply let her pass knowing that when Shu felt there was a job to do there was no stopping her. The 4th squad captain exited the building and right away could since something stirring in the air, like electricity it made the wispy hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. Something certainly wasn't right.
She moved quickly scanning the streets as she shunpoed from rooftop to rooftop. There was something amiss, she could feel it in her bones. She came to a sudden stop feeling a presence near by. She looked around and said quite flatly but rather loudly, "Oi, you wanna show yourself,f or am I gonna have to drag you out from your hiding places?" The air smelled of blood and burning flesh, a foul odor, but Shu had smelled worse. The anger rose as she looked around, Rukongai had always been her Home. She had grown up there and hoped to eventually die there, unfortunately she had no intentions of dying on this day.
